Curriculum
The eight weeks.
- Wk 01
Understanding Your DJ Setup
What every part of a controller, mixer and software layout actually does — and how signal flows from track to speaker. Get comfortable before you get creative.
- Wk 02
Rekordbox & Music Preparation
Importing, organising and analysing your library. Beatgrids, cue points and playlists, so you walk into every session knowing your music.
- Wk 03
The Art of Mixing
Beatmatching, phrasing and EQ. How to blend two tracks so the transition serves the music rather than showing off a trick.
- Wk 04
Building the Perfect DJ Set
Openers, peaks and breathing room. Thinking in journeys instead of single transitions, and planning a set without making it rigid.
- Wk 05
Music Selection & Finding Your Sound
Where to find music, how to listen critically, and how your choices slowly become a recognisable identity.
- Wk 06
Reading the Room
Watching a dancefloor, sensing energy and adjusting in real time. The skill that separates playing tracks from playing for people.
- Wk 07
Playing Live & Preparing for Your First Gig
Practical preparation for playing in front of others: backups, booth etiquette, sound checks, nerves and what to do when something goes wrong.
- Wk 08
Your First Complete DJ Set
Bringing everything together: plan, prepare and record a full set of your own, then review it with an honest ear.

Equipment
What you'll need.

Equipment details will be confirmed before enrollment, including software requirements and which other controllers work with the lessons.
